How to enable the advanced search

In this tutorial you will learn how to activate the advanced search to be able to search for a product by any word in its name.

Important

  • This feature is available on all Nex plans. Learn more about our subscription plans.
  • Advanced search allows you to locate products registered in Nex using words that are part of the product description, not just the first letter or word of the product name.
  • This option is available on the PRODUCTS and STOCK screen.

The search system follows two hierarchical rules:

  • 1. When they are numbers, it searches for them in the codes.
  • 2. When they are letters, it searches for them in the product descriptions.

Shall we activate the advanced search?

1. Click on the PRODUCTS menu.

It is also possible to activate the advanced search from the Stock menu.

2. Click on the ARROW with the options.

3. Check the SEARCH BY ANY WORD IN THE PRODUCT NAME option.

Done! Products can now be searched by the words in the middle of the description.
