See how simple and practical it is to define a standard markup that can be used to automatically generate the selling price of products based on the cost price.
The markup is a percentage (%) used to calculate the sale price automatically, that is, it is the percentage that will be added to the cost price. A markup of 10% indicates that the selling price will correspond to 110% of the cost price. For example, if the product costs 100 reais, with a 10% markup, its selling price will be 110 reais.
There are two ways to define a standard markup, one through the PRODUCT REGISTRATION and the other through the OPTIONS on the PRODUCTS screen.
From the products screen:
1. On the Products screen, click on the GEAR icon.
2. Check the option 5. CALCULATE SALES PRICE AUTOMATICALLY.
3. In option 6. DEFAULT MARKUP %, inform the desired markup percentage.
4. Click on OK (F2).
By product registration:
1. Within the product registration, check the AUTOMATIC option, on the right side of the SALES PRICE field.
2. Click on the SET DEFAULT MARKUP option, next to the Markup % field.
3. Check the CALCULATE SALES PRICE AUTOMATICALLY option.
4. Enter the percentage of the DEFAULT MARKUP.
5. Click on OK (F2).
Done! The default markup has been set.
