Learn how to set up products correctly in order to obtain all the financial information you need by date or product list.
The first step is to access the Products menu located on the left-side bar.
Now, create a new product or edit one already in inventory.
Click on Price. Next, enter a price (how much you wish to sell for) and cost (how much you paid for the product).
Press F2 or hit Save at the top of the screen.
Click on Show at the top of the screen, then select the option Display Financial Information which will show both price and cost data.
Four new rows will appear showing the profit margin, unit cost, total cost and total price for each product. At the bottom of the screen, you'll be able to see the total costs and sales revenue.
You can later track your profits through the See Total button located at the top of the Register menu. You can also view profits from previous Registers and sort them by period or individual registers in the Previous Registers menu.
Then click on Product Activity. At the bottom of this screen, you'll have access to sales and profits figures, calculated based on the amounts previously set.
