Learn about Nex's platform mode

Check out our FAQs about Platform Mode and the benefits you'll get with this new Nex feature.

Important

What is platform mode?

Platform Mode is a new way of working in Nex. With it, you can manage your inventory from anywhere: via the website, the app, or your computer. Your data is automatically stored online when you connect to the internet and synchronized between your computer, the app, and the website. This eliminates the need for online backups.

What can I do in each platform environment?

Nex meets different user needs in three main environments:

Computer: Ideal for core store operations, such as point of sale (POS), cash register, order management, and hardware integration (barcode scanner, scales, cash drawer, etc.).

Offers all essential functions.

Functions as an efficient POS even in the event of an internet outage.

Web (browser): Ideal for management tasks such as inventory control, accessing analytical reports, and viewing transactions from anywhere with internet access.

Stock control and additional features.

Offers the flexibility of using an online POS.

App: Ideal for sales on the go, allowing transactions to be made anywhere in the store or even outside of it.

Only the most essential features.

Offers a mobile POS, integration with the Stone POS terminal, and specific features.

Facilitates product registration and uploading product photos directly from your phone.

In short, Nex is your own platform, and you can access it however you prefer—from a computer, online, or on your phone. The combination of these features gives you greater control over your store's operational routine.

How will my online store data be securely backed up?

Online backup of your store data in Nex is done through a connection that uses encrypted protocols, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of your data during the process.

How do online and offline sales work in Nex?

Nex allows you to manage your sales both online and offline. From your browser, you can configure the Point of Sale (POS) and record sales when you are online. If the connection fails, Nex continues to function normally, both on your computer and on your mobile phone, allowing for offline sales. When the internet connection is restored, the information is synchronized again.

What Stock Control features will I have on each platform?

Is there any additional cost for using platform mode?

Can I migrate to platform mode at any time?

Yes, you can migrate at any time you deem appropriate. However, you must be connected to the internet. We recommend doing so outside of your establishment's business hours. This is because, during the migration, Nex will not be available on all access platforms, which will prevent you from using or recording information in the system.

You can access the tutorial on how to migrate to platform mode by clicking here.

Are there training or support resources to help users make the most of the platform's features?

Yes, you can access all platform tutorials by visiting our Help Center. We also have a dedicated support team available to answer any questions and find solutions to any issues.
